This lovely little cottage is located along the beautiful Undercliff in the village of Niton on the southern tip of the Isle of Wight, near St Catherine's Point.
The cottage is set in an elevated sheltered position amongst a complex of similar chalets in lovely private grounds. The Undercliff is renowned for its own temperate microclimate, hence the location for Ventnor's Botanic Garden.We are ideally sited for walking and cycling holidays, indeed you will find some of the most unspoilt parts of the Island exploring the paths and bridleways.
The island has extensive well signposted footpath network, with the round Island Coastal Path passing the entrance to Westcliff. For the cyclist there are many quiet lanes and bridleways to explore.
Accommodation
Ramblers Retreat provides comfortable accommodation for two.
There's a main living area with TV, DVD player and radio/CD player.
Fully equipped kitchen area with freestanding cooker, microwave, toaster, etc.
Double bedroom with en-suite shower, loo and hand basin.
Outside there's a small patio area with table and chairs.
Bed linen and towels are provided for chalet use only.
The chalet is non-smoking and the whole site is child and pet free.
Location
The centre of the small quaint village of Niton is only a few minutes walk from the chalet. There you will find a well-stocked grocer, butchers, pharmacy, post office/ tearooms and the White Lion pub. The other local pub is the Buddle Inn, also only a short walk, with lovely views of the English Channel. Both serve good food, fine wines and real ales.
Also nearby are some beautiful unspoilt beaches to relax and unwind on in the sun.
Getting there
For those wanting a car free holiday there's a daytime hourly bus service to the island's capital, Newport, and the Victorian seaside town of Ventnor. From Newport there is an extensive bus service to all parts of the island.
